Stewart, Paul Dean

Paul Dean Stewart was born on September 21, 1944 in Alvin, Texas to Gilliam C., and Velma C. (Reese) Stewart. Paul served in the US Army from 1960 to 1961. He died December 14, 2012 in Dickenson from complications of diabetes.
For most of his adult life, Paul was a truck driver. He was awarded the ‘One Million Mile Safe Driving’ certificate prior to retiring due medical problems in the early 1980’s. Paul seemed to be happiest on the road with an eighteen wheeler humming. For all who knew him, befriended and loved him, Paul wished you Peace and God’s grace!
His wishes to be cremated and interned with his late wife, Minnie Faye Melton of Three Rivers, were conducted as a small family gathering on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the home place on Hwy 36 east of Rising Star. Officiating was Reverend Kenneth E. Gibson II of Sidney Baptist Church.
Paul was preceded in death by his sister, Stella Mae Marshall, and his brother, Carl Gilliam. He is survived by his three sons, from the marriage of Margaret Darlene Woolsey of Sidney, Patrick Dion of Nevada, Kenneth Dain of Oklahoma, and Alvin Dale of Rising Star, Texas. Siblings include Bobby Ray Stewart of Big Spring, Herbert Lee of Palestine, Loretta Suzuki of California, Donnie Stewart of California, and Guy Allen of Santa Fe, Texas.
